Bioremediation is the employment of natural abilities of microbes and the advances in technology to consume or transform various chemicals. The most common biodegradable wastes are hydrocarbon sources such as fuel, oil, and grease (FOG) compounds, industrial waste solvents and coolants, and sludge's waste. These compounds, which produce visual, operational or disposal problems, are also food sources for bacteria under the proper conditions. Our function as bio-remediation specialists is to assist the natural process providing a solution to our customers needs.

Aliron International, Inc. has entered into an agreement with the Guam Power Authority and the government of Guam, USA to offer these products to the business and public to help in the clean-up of potentially hazardous sites.

Oil SpongeTM

Oil SpongeTM is relatively inexpensive and could be stored at emergency response sites. Containment and remediation can occur simultaneously. Oil Sponge does not need to be removed from the contaminated area. The bacteria in Oil Sponge remain active as long as petroleum distillates remain. Oil Sponge encapsulates the oil product on contact and prevents potential leaching. Oil Sponge has a pecan fours base. This absorptive material is bio-friendly. As the oil, distillate is digested, the bacteria produce a water-soluble fat that is harmless to the environment. After the oil has been digested the bacteria die. Oil Sponge in fact becomes a fertilizer. An area in which a data may be scarce relates to the recovery rate of the flora.

Microbial Cultures
